  • Daryl’s newest Cab comes from the Alexander Valley, one of the most well respected and premium appellations in Sonoma County, California.  It’s one of 18 in total and is particularly well known for the exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon it produces.
  • The Cabernets from this appellation offer a refreshing contrast to its well known neighbour, Napa Valley. They have the flavour and complexity of Napa but with a touch less alcohol and a little more elegance.
  • It’s deep and dark with all the traditionally unctuous cabernet characters of black fruits, vanilla oak and chocolate.  At a first glance you might be expecting something big and dense, but in fact the palate is deceptively elegant,  silky-smooth and intensely flavorful.

  • With his super-contemporary Edición Limitada, Tao is taking an exciting new look at Rioja. He’s selected wines from the best, low-yielding vines in the small wine growing region of Alavesa - and we reckon he’s landed on one of the best kept secrets in the wine world.
  • The grapes grown here are notoriously intense and complex thanks to their low-yields, and are often featured in top Rioja Reservas. But it's increasingly difficult to get your hands on these kinds of grapes, as artisan growers in Alavesa struggle to fend off developers keen to rip up these precious vines and sell off the land.
  • Your support has given Tao the confidence to buy up these grapes and forge long term contracts with their growers, giving you access to some of Rioja’s most stunning fruit. He’s selected historic parcels in the highest villages of Alavesa, giving this wine distinctive deep and complex cherry and mint aromas. There’s plenty of exotic fruit expression, with inky and herbal notes complementing the bright black fruit.

  • In Elgin, it's usually a huge challenge to find Chardonnay - practically all of the best parcels get snapped up immediately. So trying to find exciting parcels in the Elgin Valley is like finding hen's teeth… rare!
  • Lucky for us, our Richard Kershaw lives in the Valley itself and has a little black book filled with contacts who grow some of the best Chardonnay grapes in the valley. The parcel Richard sourced for his brand new Pivotal Chard is no exception to this very exciting rule.
  • From a plot planted on the west-facing slopes of a shaded amphitheatre with exceptionally rich soil, this might be Richard's most well balanced and elegant Chard to date. The intensity of its fruit flavours are second to none, and it boasts an exceptional freshness and aromatic quality that elevates this super premium Chardonnay like you wouldn't believe.

  • With bold flavours of fresh blueberries and juicy plums, Rudi's captured the essence of Stellenbosch finesse in all it's plush, velvety glory. It's a well-balanced drop with elegant hints of warming mocha, a smidge of spice and the all important long smooth finish.
  • The Stellenbosch sunshine, gentle coastal breezes and mineral rich soil make for conditions so exceptional that we wouldn't blame any self-respecting Syrah enthusiast for coming over a little bit giddy. These single-vineyard Syrah grapes are ripened to perfection, resulting in impressively refined but intense flavours.
  • Rudi rounds off his carefully crafted process with 18 months of French oak barrel maturation to capture that signature Syrah smoky charm. Not one corner has been cut and the proof is very much in the bottle!

  • The grapes were organically picked from this single vineyard before Gerd set about using super gentle and low intervention processes to give this Riesling it's characteristic vibrancy and structure.
  • Delicate notes of autumn apples, yellow peach with fresh tangy lime on the nose. This Riesling has a lovely crisp acidity and a superb fruity and spicy finish with apple, peach, citrus and ripe pineapple. A wine with great length, texture and structure.

  • Tom Puyaubert is a champion of Rioja’s most overlooked and underappreciated grapes and none deserves his love more than Graciano - the star of his Vinas Antiguas.

  • Graciano is a fantastic grape naturally packed full of complex flavours that lends itself perfectly to elegant oak-aged wines like this. But because it only fully ripens if you grow it in low yields, most winemakers avoid it in favour of more prolific fruit. Thankfully Tom is a super-passionate and patient winemaker who’s willing to commit the time and effort required for his grapes to reach their full potential.

  • His Vinas Antiguas is packed full of all the dark fleshy black fruit flavours that Graciano is famous for, with lush blueberries and blackcurrants and a hint of spice. Almost like a Rhone Syrah. And by blending in some prime Tempranillo from his 100-year-old vines, then ageing this wine in French oak for 18 months, it’s all rounded out with a silky-smooth and classy finish. Mouthwatering.
