Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
The smooth drinking Stellenbosch Syrah you're going to want to get to know... and keep to yourself
- With bold flavours of fresh blueberries and juicy plums, Rudi's captured the essence of Stellenbosch finesse in all it's plush, velvety glory. It's a well-balanced drop with elegant hints of warming mocha, a smidge of spice and the all important long smooth finish.
- The Stellenbosch sunshine, gentle coastal breezes and mineral rich soil make for conditions so exceptional that we wouldn't blame any self-respecting Syrah enthusiast for coming over a little bit giddy. These single-vineyard Syrah grapes are ripened to perfection, resulting in impressively refined but intense flavours.
- Rudi rounds off his carefully crafted process with 18 months of French oak barrel maturation to capture that signature Syrah smoky charm. Not one corner has been cut and the proof is very much in the bottle!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Rudi Schultz
Rudi Schultz hails from something of a golden generation, having grown up in a family of 5 brothers, three of them would eventually go on to become winemakers.
Having learnt his craft under the tutelage of SA wine legend Gyles Webb, Rudi launched his own winery in 2002 and caught the attention of critics straight away, with rave reviews for his maiden vintage Syrah. Since then, he’s made a string of critically-acclaimed, top-shelf wines from Stellenbosch and the Western Cape, which you now get to enjoy first-hand.
In his spare time, Rudi teaches surfing and ocean safety in his local community. In fact, he’s such a keen surfer, all of his wines are named after famous surf spots. So just pour yourself a glass of Pepper Street and dive right in. Cowabunga!
