The Rhône is one of the world’s most historic wine regions. Finding hidden talent there is like searching for a needle in a haystack.
In the wrong hands Côtes du Rhône can be watery and thin, but Denis’ Le Chene Noir is dark, deep, and bursting with fruit and spice. Made in a small human-scale co-op in the village of Cairanne in Southern France.
Thanks to Denis, the wine co-op now gives work to more than 60 local families, keeping the village afloat and the shops and schools open. It’s a real community effort, and the people are proud of the part they play in the wines.

Very little Pinot Gris is grown in Ben's area of the Languedoc so when he saw the opportunity to grab a parcel of fruit he jumped on it and was able to secure it all thanks to Angel funding!
Every year since then he has produced a mouth-wateringly delicious Pinot Gris' and this years vintage is no different.
It's full of refreshing lime, lemon, pear, white nectarine and apple fruits, with a floral honeysuckle aroma. A twinkle of freshness makes it the perfect quaffer to enjoy in the garden on spring afternoons.

When Ben came to us with a crackpot idea of using a method unique to Italian winemaking on a bunch of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan grapes grown up a hill in the Pyrenees — we had a mild panic.
Repasse is the technique of passing an already mature vintage over the crushed grape skins left over from a new harvest to give it even more power and flavour.
It sounds bonkers, but we shouldn’t have worried. Ben has taken this Languedoc red to a whole new level - it's mindblowingly dark and delicious.

Gentle, sunny slopes, cool evenings and good quality soil types all worked in harmony to produce some seriously stunning grapes. Denis Crespo even selected a few from each parcel to examined under a microscope, making sure they were in top-notch condition.
Denis is on a mission to produce approachable, fruity wines that everybody can enjoy, and he's certainly hit the nail on the head with this drop. It's vibrant, brimming with sweet jammy red fruits and a hint of black fruit and a sprinkle of liquorice. It's deliciously juicy, full and ripe with a long, silky smooth finish.
It's no wonder Denis is one of Rhone's most sought after winemakers. He consistently produces mouthwatering blends like this one, with so much depth and roundness, we'd forgive you for thinking that you're drinking a wine twice its price.

In 2021, Charles & Ruth agreed to help us out of a hole in our Chardonnay supplies when French vineyards were ravaged by frosts. They offered to make two styles and this is the more opulent, oakier one. If it really blows your socks off, they say they’ll be up for making it one of their regular Naked wines.
To make their Barrique Sélection Chardonnay, Charles & Ruth harvested much later in the season, giving the rich fruit flavours more time to develop. Then after fermentation they aged it in french oak barriques for 6 months. The result is a luxuriously textured, opulent white wine offering great value for a premium style of Chardonnay.
The nose and palate are oak-led, with layers of buttery popcorn, brioche, citrus and ripe tropical fruits. All balanced with a supremely smooth, creamy palate. Perfect for those posh evening garden parties in the summer sun.

I've been making Beaujolais for the past 22 years... so I'm thrilled to start a new chapter with Naked as your first ever Beaujolais winemaker.
I found the very best grapes from older, established vineyards to make this wine. The yields are lower and the grapes are smaller, this helps us to obtain more intense, yet mellow wines.
Made with 100% Gamay grapes, my Beaujolais is brimming with blackberry, pear and cherry - it is well balanced, very soft and silky smooth.

As far as Bordeaux goes, this is as lush as it gets. On the nose you get subtle black forest gateau aromas which hint at what’s in store. After Ben’s Chablis vineyards were devastated by frosts for the second time in 4 years, he was left thinking ‘here we go again’.
The first time this happened, in 2017, Ben got in touch with a mate of his making top-class, artisan wines in the southern French appellation of Comte Tolosan. He cut Ben a special deal on a parcel of this elegant and refreshing white, to help make up the shortfall in Ben’s winery. Angels backed it to the hilt, promptly fell in love, and have been asking for more ever since.
This delicious blend of Colombard and Ugni Blanc has all the qualities of a high-end Chablis... even if it's not. Its enticing aromas of lime and lychee are mixed with a subtle hint of white pepper. And it’s juicy and rich in the mouth, with a crunchy, refreshing finish like biting into a ripe red apple.
