Simpsons of Barham Court Beora 2021
Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Angels funded, blended and named this sensational English fizz
-
Charles and Ruth brought their renowned winemaking skills back to old Blighty and created this seriously classy sparkling, which they even let you name! Beora is the name of the Saxon Chief after whom the village of Barham is called.
-
This is teamwork at its finest, with the Simpsons expertly harvesting and pressing the grapes and Angels deciding the blend, name and label! Mark our words, this is just the start of their English wine adventure.
- This clean and vibrant sparkling boasts citrus flavours and a subtle toastiness and, just between us, a price tag that makes it an absolute steal!

Drink perfectly chilled
Food match
Fantastic with delicate smoked salmon blinis or a sumptuous kiwi pavlova, but equally good with fish and chips! If you're feeling adventurous, why not pair it with herb crusted mackerel or on-trend Matcha Tea cake!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Charles and Ruth Simpson
- In 2002, Charles & Ruth took a leap into the unknown. They quit their dull, corporate jobs. Hopped on the first plane to France. And bought up their own little patch of grape-growing land in Southern France.
- It turned out to be an inspired move. Since then their delicious, Angel-exclusive wines haven’t stopped scooping IWC and Decanter World Wine Awards and rave reviews from wine-critic royalty.
- Not content to rest on their laurels in France, they set their sights on another opportunity, making English wine in Blighty. Your backing also gave them the confidence to do just that! In 2014 they returned to their roots and planted their first English vineyard near Canterbury.
