About the wine
An elegant, pale pink rosé the likes of which you'll rarely find in Spain

After the roaring success of his rule-breaking La Orphica red and white wines, David’s been inspired to complete the set with an elegant, pale pink rosé the likes of which you’ll rarely find in Spain.

David knows how much untapped potential there is in Spain, so he made up his own rules to create this wine… “I wanted to give you the experience with a rosé wine that may be different than what you are used to having from Spain - traditional Spanish rosés tend to be darker coloured. I break this preconceived idea and I want to give people with my rosé wine blend of Garnacha and Bobal a very high-quality Spanish experience. One that combines and enhances the quality and impact of Spanish rosé varietals in an elegant, refreshing blend.”
- Refreshingly elegant, crisp, and mouthwateringly fruity, the Seleccion Sintonia rosé is just summer in a glass, here’s how he describes it… “Clear pale pink colour. The nose has a lovely complex combination of refreshing red fruits, pink grapefruit and blood orange. The palate is gentle, soft and refreshing.”

Meet the winemaker - David and Jonas Tofterup
- Born in Denmark (not exactly a winemaking stronghold!) David and Jonas Tofterups’ lifelong love of wine was kick-started when their parents moved to Spain in the 90s, where they took trips to visit wine regions all around the country. 15-year-old David in particular was hooked, and after finishing school, he threw himself into a winemaking career which has seen him work at wineries all over the world including Spain, France, Chile and the US.
- Jonas, 10 years the junior, naturally looked up to his brother as a superhero. As he grew up, Jonas went the academic route, becoming a fully-qualified Master of Wine who now has degree certificates falling out of his back pocket. They both dreamed that one day they would make a wine together. And now, fast forward 25 years, because of Angels… they do!
- With Angel support, David and Jonas have been able to leave their large scale corporate wine jobs to devote themselves to making their boutique-style family wines with buckets of oomph and personality. They’re specialists in going off-the-beaten-track and unearthing all the hidden gem potential Spain has to offer. And we think they’re really rather good at it.

I’ve loved their magnificent Monastrell reds, been well and truly won over by their wonderful La Orphica white, and once again I have revelled in the latest vintage of their resplendent rosé!
Great value, great quality, wonderfully fruity, it’s another winning proposition from our Great Danes 🇩🇰 of Spain 🇪🇸

This is a lovely rosé, fruity and refreshing. A delicious blend of Garnacha and Bobal grapes. I enjoyed it with my salmon dinner with sweet potatoes and courgette, however it is very easy drinking and would be equally enjoyable without food. Good value too. Thank you David and Jonas for another fantastic Tofterup wine.
