Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Decadent St Emilion Grand Cru chock-full of deep, dark, mouthwatering cherries
-
If you’re looking for a special French red to save for a special occasion, you won’t do much better than a beautiful St Emilion Grand Cru like this, from the oldest winemaking region in Bordeaux.
-
Made from the best fruit on select plots of Alexandre’s Chateau Armens estate. It’s aged for 12 months in the fanciest of French oak barrels to round out the tannins and impart delectable spicy complexity.
-
It’s a decadent red chock-full of deep, dark mouthwatering cherry flavours. And all that plush, tummy-warming fruit is beautifully framed with notes of clove and nutmeg spice for a truly mouthwatering sensation on the palate. You could happily while away a couple hours exploring the complexities of this wine, with a good book and a roaring fire to keep you company.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Alexandre de Malet Roquefort
-
The latest in a long line of Bordeaux masters from the legendary Malet-Roquefort family, Alexandre is a big cheese in the world of fine French wine. But first and foremost, he’s just a really passionate winemaker. And he can’t wait to share his passion for St Emilion - and its celebrated wines - with you.
-
Not many winemakers have a family history as rich as Alexandre’s. The Malet-Roqueforts have been making some of the most sought-after wines in the world at their historic St Emilion estate since the 18th century, where they’re the oldest established family in the entire region. In fact, their fame dates all the way back to the start of the last millennium, when a great display at the Battle of Hastings won favour, and a fiefdom, from William the Conqueror.
-
Nowadays, Alexandre blends tradition with innovation and a deep respect for the beautiful terroir he’s forever grateful to have inherited. There’s no doubt that his old family vines are up there with some of the very best in the world. And we’re chuffed to bits to share the incredible spoils with UK wine-lovers like you.

A beautiful red. If possible save some for the following day, you won't regret it. There are a few excellent French reds available on Naked right now and this stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of them.
Beautiful smooth, yet succulent and full of flavour.
Loved it
Unbelievable wine that is all 💙
Excellent
Dark ruby coloured with high acidity, dryness, a full body, and high tannins. Flavours of black plum, blackberry, and black cherry, with some raspberry. The roundness of the palate improves with some airing, and secondary flavours of tobacco and leather are apparent. Balanced with a good depth of flavour, and some complex flavours. A nice wine.
Not cheap but still worth. Really rich and fruity. Very smooth. Loved it.
Fabulous wine. Ready to drink, rich flavour, deep, dark, strong, very fruity. Loved it.
