About the spirit
Our first Angel exclusive Whisky!
-
After Rupert Patrick uncovered the secret to his family’s ancient blend, he needed a Master Blender to revive it and headed straight to Norman Mathison’s door. Using the same malts and grains in the blend as the Eadie family used over 150 years ago, (including some famous names like Aberlour, Talisker, Glendronach and Blair Athol for the whisky pros amongst you), they created a smooth, complex, smoky whisky that boasts a beautifully long finish.
-
It’s already making waves in the industry, picking up a gold medal at the World Whisky Awards and 90/100 points from ScotchWhisky.com - the ultimate bible of Scotch. This was the highest score ever awarded to a blend under £60. Boom.
- Angels and Archangels alike have all trekked up to Scotland to help bring this ancient blend back to life and Rupert is so grateful for such enthusiastic and heartfelt support. All that’s left to do now is pour yourself a wee dram and take a true sip back in time…
Best before
There is no best before date. Whisky in a bottle can last fifty or more years...
Unlike wine, you should store your whisky upright if it has a cork stopper. Otherwise the higher alcohol strength will eat away at the cork.
Serving advice
Neat, on the rocks, with a splash of water or with soda in a 'Highball' cocktail
Food match
Thanks to its peaty/smoky flavours it goes well with things like smoked salmon, oysters, seafood and smoked/cured meats like prosciutto

Contains sulphites

Meet the spirit maker - Rupert Patrick
- Years ago Rupert had a wild idea to start his own whisky business. He knew he needed to gain experience in the industry first, so he set off to travel the world selling scotch and made contacts all over Scotland.
- A chance discovery in 2016 gave him the nudge to go it alone. He came across the whisky ledgers of his great great grandfather, James Eadie. They revealed the secrets behind a once highly-regarded family blend, and Rupert knew he had to revive it.
- He persuaded one of Scotland’s most experienced and distinguished Master Blenders, Norman Mathison, to come out of retirement and the pair have worked tirelessly ever since. Norman’s skill, Rupert’s dedication and Angels' support has brought this blend back to life... and it stands out from the crowd today, just as it did 170 years ago.

Lethal. I'm a malt man and look down on blends normally. I felt it oozing out my pores the next day, and I only had one glass. One shot. Lethal, and people need to be careful with it.

What a great whisky this is it has a slight peaty smokey taste which I love as I am a lover of Islay single malt and with a strength of 45.6% it is absolute quality.

Beautiful rounded, balance flavour. Currently one of my favourite whiskies. Just wish I didn't havevto buy12 bottles to get this.

Sadly I did not pick up on the fact that this is a PEATED whisky. You like it or you don't! I also discovered that it is available elsewhere at a significantly lower price. I shall in future stick with the thing NW do best - wine.
