Think of Lionel Richie, circa mid-eighties, all decked out in his best plum velvet suit, then add a bit of Barry White on top, and you BEGIN to get close to how smooth and enticing this red is.
Your first sensation is one of deep rich blueberry that gives way to a mixture of plum and damson, edged with a smokey streak of oak - all of which lasts an age with each mouthful. It's difficult to be too in love with this wine.
Open the bottle, show a frying pan a steak, briefly, then combine in mouth. Boom!

Virgile may be a fairly new addition to the Naked list, but he's had an immediate impact with wines such as this cracking little Sauvignon that makes New Zealand versions look brash and brutish.
It's subtle soft fruit flavours, all fresh apple and baked gooseberry with a slightly herbal edge slip down far too easily, making possession of a whole case a dangerous prospect.
Try it with a big bowl of fat, juicy mussels - it really doesn't get much better.

Think freshly crushed strawberries with a couple of raspberries thrown in to boot, combined with freshly whipped cream and a nice sharp bite. Top-drawer rose, and fresh as a morning daisy.
