This beer was a real tasting room favourite. As soon as we popped the top we were hit with wave after wave of citrus aromas and when we tasted it we were blown away by the comforting mouthfeel and balanced bitterness.
Stuart Brewing are an Edinburgh institution but are rarely seen south of the border. Run by a husband and wife team they even have a "Craft Beer Kitchen" where anyone can go and try their hand at brewing.
This brew is ideal with something spicy - the fluffy mouthfeel from the wheat will soothe your tingling taste buds so you're ready for the next bite.

We dreamed up this beer in the depths of winter. We closed our eyes and imagined the perfect summer brew to quench thirsts on a long hot day. Sharp aromatic grapefruit felt like the perfect accompaniment to the citrus aromas so common in new world hops.
The guys at Thornbridge were pioneers of the UK craft beer scene and are responsible for the mighty Jaipur but this is a beer they're brewing exclusively for Naked Wines customers.

Altstadt is a monument to the Reinheitsgebot. No, that wasn't a sneeze. These are the purity laws that were put into place in Germany in 1516 to drastically improve the quality of their beer. These rules state that you can only brew with barley, hops and water.
Black Isle have used premium barley which they grow on their farm to make this amazingly malty lager that's just so marvelously moreish.
Lager and spice are the best of friends so pairing this brew with a searing hot chilli is the perfect way to compliment the deep chilli heat.

This style was initially made popular in the 80's as traditional breweries began the fight back against big lager. It's light in colour and flavour and deliberately chuggable for long hot summer days.
