Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
A mouth-wateringly juicy yet refined Riesling from Germany's popular Nahe wine region
- This wine is the truest reflection of its unique region. Using low intervention winemaking, the vines have really taken the wheel, producing an intense and fruity Riesling.
- Crystal clear, fruity and powerful at the same time. With elightful aromatics bursting with intense aromas of passion fruit and red apple, together with refreshing pink grapefruit and freshly grated lemon zest.
- Vibrant and tight on the palate with juicy, elegant fruit and yet, completely dry on the finish -this is the perfect laidback weeknight wine to pair with your favourite fish dishes.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Martin Korrell
-
Martin started his life as a winemaker in the Spanish city of Palencia, where he was born. As soon as he had graduated, he took to the road, following harvest through several different countries to discover the incredible diversity of the wine world.
-
He has since settled in the Nahe region of Germany, working tirelessly to create palate pristine wines that reflect this super-unique region both authentically and sustainably.
-
Conserving the natural environment he works with is incredibly important to Martin, and he’s putting your hard-earned Angle pennies towards protecting old vines in the Nahe. Vines like these produce grapes of incredible quality but in very low yields, so they’re constantly under threat of being bulldozed by developers. Martin is dedicated to their protection and making fantastic wines along the way.

Have really started exploring Riesling over the past year, but found this one way too heavy on the sulphites and with very little taste or aroma. Sorry, but not for me. Perhaps I just got a bad bottle? Will continue my journey with other growers.
Have sampled Reislings in Germany and most were considerably better than this one. I was disappointed as it was not much better than a supermarket Sauvignon Blanc.
The best Riesling I've tasted for a long time. Beautifully balanced: crisp but not too dry. A steal at the price.
A really nice Riesling
Pale golden coloured with high acidity, dryness, and a medium body. Flavours of apple and pear, with lemon and lime citrus, with some petroleum notes. Balanced with plenty of acidity and crispness on the palate. A nice wine.
Excellent as a standalone one-glass only aperitif, but not at this price.
A very nice riesling
Not the best riesling. Bit too dry for me
A lovely Riesling, with crisp acidity, apple fruit, and a little honeycomb in the finish.
