About the wine
Riccardo's mind-bogglingly delicious Montepulciano was the runaway winner of our blind tasting vote
- The juicy, indulgent Montepulciano from undiscovered Italian winemaker Riccardo Iacobone bagged the most votes at every single tasting.
- With rich and intense blackberry flavours, a yummy chunk of chocolate and and a velvety smooth smoky lick, it’s no surprise that the voting box was overflowing with tokens.
- Riccardo could hardly believe it when we gave him the good news - thanks to the power of your votes, he’s bagged a game-changing order for his business.

Serving advice
Serve at 16-18°C. Open/Decant 30+ minutes before serving
Food match
Traditionally we eat the classic "arrosticini" (goat meat skewers very well known in Abruzzo) with Montepulciano, which I highly recommend if you never tried them. Pecorino cheese is also a big hit and if you want to try a vegetarian pairing, try some farmer soup with legumes, onion and potatoes.
