About the wine
Beautifully crafted Pinot Noir from a downright lovely winemaking couple
- An elegant Pinot with a gentle touch. The Angels have been asking Bill & Claudia to make a New Zealand Pinot like this ever since tasting their amazing 2010 Sauv Blancs.
- The Smalls spent ages scouring the island looking for just the right vines, and they have struck gold! Mature vines on a sunny north-facing hillside in Marlborough, just screaming to be Naked.
- "Absolutely loved it, just what I've been looking for. Can't stop talking about it" said Angel Richard Coyne. We heartily agree!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Bill and Claudia Small
- Husband and wife team Bill and Claudia went it alone thanks to Angel funding over a decade ago. Since then, they've gone on to become Naked legends.
- Using your Angel funding, the Smalls have built close relationships with grape growers ‘in the bits of Marlborough they love’ to make lovingly crafted gems from some of the best fruit going.
- With you behind them, your King and Queen of Marlborough have gone from strength to strength. You’re the reason they make some of the highest-rated Sauvignons in the whole of New Zealand. Kudos to you.

It was ok, not my favourite pinot noir, a little too tarty for me. Paired well with meal but ive had better. Very light on the acidic side.

Gorgeous is all i can say.
In 60 years it is the best Red wine that I have ever tasted (RH aged 71)
A new addition to the ‘favourite reds’ list.
sorry. Love pinot noir. Love NZ wine. Really wanted to like this, but we found it disappointing.
