We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.

About the wine
We challenged the Smalls to make an extra-special wine using only the very best fruit
- After the roaring success of their first Pinot Noir, we challenged Bill & Claudia to make us an extra-special reserve batch. We reckon this is their best yet.
- Named after their baby daughter Penelope, this reserve used the best fruit and had a little extra Small & Small love added.
- If you're looking for amazing quality Pinot, then look no further. And because it was made possible by our Naked Angels - it's a complete steal!

Enjoyable now but will happily cellar for a decade
Serving advice
If opening now, give the wine plenty of opportunity to breath to show it at its best. So choose some big tulip shaped glasses, give it some time in a decanter or use an aerator.
A small amount of sediment may be present in the bottle as we choose to bottle without minimal filtration and winemaking interventions.

Not really local, but a slow cooked pork casserole with porcini mushrooms usually makes for a tasty combo

Meet the winemaker - Bill and Claudia Small
- Husband and wife team Bill and Claudia went it alone thanks to Angel funding over a decade ago. Since then, they've gone on to become Naked legends.
- Using your Angel funding, the Smalls have built close relationships with grape growers ‘in the bits of Marlborough they love’ to make lovingly crafted gems from some of the best fruit going.
- With you behind them, your King and Queen of Marlborough have gone from strength to strength. You’re the reason they make some of the highest-rated Sauvignons in the whole of New Zealand. Kudos to you.
