About the wine
.
- Clean, crisp, bone-dry with buckets of minerality and a premier-cru type refinement. This is not a wine to be quaffed in front of Corrie. Best sipped slowly whilst contemplating Michelangelo's work on the Sistine Chapel.
- If you serve to a wine buff/snob/bore, they'll swear blind it's a Chablis. At which point you can smile politely and think about all that extra dosh you didn't spend.
- Buying this wine was like buying that 'must have' designer handbag. It wasn't needed. But it was wanted.
