Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
A mouth-watering blend of 13 different grape varieties
- This Austrian wine was selected by 100s of Wine Bloggers at the European Wine Bloggers' Conference in Vienna. Which means as well as us, a whole load of computer geeks love it too!
- It's an amazing blend of 13 different grape varieties, dominated by Weissburgunder (aka Pinot Blanc), so it has lots of complexity sitting around its core of lemony-lime fruit and a wonderfully zingy finish.
- Perfect with sushi, Thai Green Curry or as a Sunday lunchtime kick-starter.

Lemony coloured with high acidity, dryness, and a medium light body. Fresh apple, lemon citrus and grapefruit flavours, with some lime on the nose. Balanced with a good clean flavoured palate. A nice wine.

We liked this wine. Interesting, but difficult to pinpoint any particular grape but delicious nevertheless. My wife is Austrian and is partial to a Gruner Veltliner, but it was a ‘thumbs up’ from her for this wine. Different.
I think Austrian wine is underrated, though I expect some people are put off by the price. This was a very good deal in the January sale and I'm glad I gave it a try.
It's hard to know what to expect when a wine is a blend of 13 grapes, the only clue being that Pinot Blanc is the main one. Not a powerfully aromatic wine but the aromas are soft and pleasant. Quite a green aroma; apples, grass, lime zest and a floral note. On the palate, light bodied and not as acidic as I expected, which allowed the more subtle flavours to express themselves. Initial flavours of red apples then develop into a white melon aftertaste. Despite being quite light, there's a juiciness to the flavours, it may be a touch off-dry. Soft mineral aftertaste reminds me of other Pinot Blancs I've enjoyed.
A good wine for a warm day. Definitely worth the sale price but perhaps lacking a bit of a wow factor to justify its full price. I would recommend giving it a try though.

Despite the blend of 13 grape varities it just didnt work.
Looking forward to a trip to Vienna this year to try more of this unusual white. A bit pricey but enjoyable.

Very good. M+ nose of acacia, lemon, lime, grapefruit, apple, pear, yellow plum, peach, a generous handful of spice, and minerality. Matching intensity on the palate that balances well against the high acidity and medium (12.5%) alcohol. Medium finish. Dry, medium body. Pair it with thai lime roast chicken OR shrimp pasta.
