About the wine
Plush Appassimento from the city of love
- Pasqua was founded in Verona in 1925 by four brothers and is one of the few Italian wineries still entirely family-owned. Their Passimento Rosso is gorgeous ruby red in colour and packed full of red berry, cherry and plum flavours. There’s also a hint of spiciness and luxuriously long finish, making it a total winner in our eyes.
- Fondly termed as ‘Romeo and Juliet’s Wall’, look closely at the bottle and you’ll see why. The label is tribute to Verona and the 3,000 love messages left daily in the courtyard overlooking Juliet’s famous balcony. Full marks for the story fellas.
- We’ve had the chance to cherry-pick the best of Majestic wines to plug gaps in our range. This wine wasn’t funded by Angels, so doesn’t carry an Angel saving. But thanks to Majestic’s buying power, you still get it at a snip!
