Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
This hidden gem is the ultimate sumptuous red Italian sipper
- A third generation winemaker at her family winery, up in the hills near Lake Garda in the Veneto region, Marica’s clan have been crafting top-quality Italian wines for 64 years.
-
But being based in a little under-the-radar pocket of the Veneto, they’ve never got the attention they deserved. Things are starting to change now though, as wines like this stunningly rich Corvina starting to turn Custoza into a household name.
- Marica's new vibrant ruby red is soft as velvet, with ripe black cherry fruits and an elegant peppery, herbaceous note. It's complex, refined and it's made to take centre stage for your big dinner party plans, it never fails to impress.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Marica Bonomo
-
We knew Marica would be a perfect fit for Naked when she joined us back in 2022, and that Angels would love her wines. But to go from a standing start to Winemaker of the Year in just two years is nothing short of extraordinary.
-
Marica is exactly the kind of hard-working, humble but uber-talented winemaker Naked was set up to support. A third generation winemaker, her family have been crafting top-quality Italian wines for 66 years, up in the hills near Lake Garda in the Veneto region. They don’t use pesticides or herbicides, and can paper the walls of their recently renovated, solar-powered winery with so many sustainability credentials and certificates. And by producing only wines that come from their own vineyards, Marica knows the identity and soul of every single grape that goes into them.
-
In recent years, Marica’s wines have started to get noticed in high places, including being named in the ‘Top 100 Wines’ in the world by Wine Spectator. And now she’s topped it all by being named your 2023 Winemaker of the Year. It couldn't have happened to a nicer lady.

Feel like I should be able to put multiple hearts on this!! Absolutely loved this, thank you so much Marcia, what a wine!! 😍😍😍
Good evening all 👋
Back home now 🇬🇧 and I’m combating the post holiday blues and significant drop in temperature 🥶 with my wine choice 😉
This is the Marica Bonomo Monte del Fra Corvina Casa Capitei IGT 2020 🍷
And I’m pairing it with the Gorgonzola risotto recipe that Marica herself posted three months ago and which I carefully saved to revisit. Absolutely delicious it is too! 😋
Cheers and happy weekend ☺️

A nice smooth wine, peppery and slightly acidic with vanilla undertones. Nice with a tomato pasta.

Monte del Fra Corvina Casa Capitei IGT 2020 for me this evening. Paired with a rich Italian Ragu which as expected it complemented perfectly and now drinking very nicely on its own. Happy Saturday everyone 🍷

Superb......very peppery aroma, which I like. Drinking it with penne and Italian sausage cooked with garlic, fennel seeds, parmesan and rocket. Delicious all round.......thank you!

Excellent value. Nice bright character. I enjoyed with meatballs in a rich tomato sauce and the wine really sparkled. I found interesting notes of cardamon and honey. In summary, i loved it. I think its well balanced in terms of fruit and acidity and it’s got lots of interesting flavours to find within.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is the second vintage I have had of this wine and it is another winner. Smooth, with lots of cherry flavours on the palate and a lovely long finish. One to savour 🍷
