About the wine
Your 1.5L Christmas magnum of California Cabernet is worth its weight in gold, frankincense and myrrh
-
California is home to some of the best Cab Savs in the world. They’re big, bold and as powerful as Rudolph’s nose – the only problem is they cost about a bazillion bucks. That’s why it pays to have a Matt Parish on your Christmas card list
-
Matt’s the all-star winemaker who made many of California’s most iconic wines before dedicating the last decade of his life to making wines exclusively for Angels. He knows California’s vineyards like the back of his hand and spends every waking hour on the road, seeking out the best parcels at the best price. His Christmas Cabernet is from a lesser-known corner of California called San Antonio – so the grape price vs. the quality of fruit is way off.
-
This is big, bold Californian Cabernet in its purest form – full of ripe cassis fruit, complex tobacco-ey notes and a naughty (or is that nice?) hint of cinnamon and clove spice on the finish. It’ll happily tackle beef, duck, goose, pork… or your Christmas turkey if you can’t bear to break with tradition. Not to mention all the trimmings.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Matt Parish
- After 25 vintages overseeing the winemaking of brands like Beringer, Stags’ Leap and Etude and many more, Matt launched his own brand thanks to Angels' support!
- Matt’s a laser-precise winemaker. We asked him for a rich, smooth Napa Cabernet. He delivered. We asked him for a silky, elegant Sta. Rita Pinot Noir... and he makes the best one we have ever tasted.
- Voted by US Angels as their “2017 Winemaker of the Year”; our friends from across the pond are a discerning bunch so you can trust their judgement completely!
