About the wine
Fresh and fruity with a swirl of creamy decadence, this is the original bottle of jubilant French bubbles
- Limoux is a legendary spot for crafting sparkling wines. In fact, it's where the "bottle fermentation" process (that we now know as "Méthode Traditionnelle") was first discovered. That makes it the first sparkling wine made in France... step aside Champers.
- This very unique Crémant proves the immense quality of Limoux sparkling wine. It combines Chardonnay, Chenin and Mauzac (a grape native to the area), to create a fabulous structure and minerality. It's incredibly distinctive and brimming over with style.
- Francoise and Baptiste pressed the grapes incredibly delicately to ensure not a drop of flavour was lost. This gives the wine a glorious pale yellow colour with delicate aromas of white flowers, juicy fruits and just a hint of honey. In the mouth it's suuuper fresh, combining ripe citrus flavours with creamy decadence.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Francoise and Baptiste Gazeau
- The Gazeaus come from Limoux, a small town in the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains, with Françoise following in her father's footsteps and Baptiste following in hers. Growing up with the hustle and bustle of a busy harvest comes second nature to them.
- Even though both left Limoux after finishing school - Françoise to work for L'Oréal in Paris, and Baptiste to travel the world - both were inevitably drawn back to the vineyards of their childhoods.
- Françoise is a seasoned pro who made her first vintage back in '96, and Baptiste has travelled the winemaking world over, visiting over 800 estates in 25 countries, tasting around 10,000 wines in the process. Together they make fabulous sparkling wines exclusively in Limoux - the birthplace of sparkling wine (take that Champagne).
