About the wine
Greet the weekend with this class act from the Algarve
The Algarve is a well known region for sun seekers, but what most people don't know is that it's an absolutely fantastic region for quality Portuguese winemaking. Warm weather + coastal breeze = vibrant, exciting wines.
Portuguese wines are very often blends of a handful of carefully selected grape varieties, and when you taste a wine with the quality of this little beauty, you can taste exactly why. The balance is superb, each variety brings something unique to the table, creating a rich, powerful wine that will take a hold of anyone from clued up wine buffs, to those on the hunt for the perfect bottle to greet the weekend with.
With its deep, almost violet colour, this is a wine that looks just as rich and unctuous as it tastes. Starting with wonderful aromas of jammy blackberries, the palate reveals velvety fruits alongside warming flavours of chocolate and vanilla. It has the long, balanced finish of a truly classy act.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Hermano Veloso
- Hermano was discovered by your Archangels at the London International Wine Fair 2011 and his wines have taken pride of place on Angel wine racks ever since (those Archangels know a good thing when they taste it).
- Having been born and raised in the Portuguese wine industry, there is nothing this man doesn't know about how to get the best from the local grapes! In fact, his family have been working in Lisbon's wine and agriculture for generations, a tradition that Hermano was keen to continue... his first harvest was when he was only six years old!
- With his passion for Portuguese wines & drive to make top quality wines whilst keeping them great value for money, we couldn't wait to add him to the list of Naked winemakers
