About the wine
Our NZ Pinot King headed to Germany to make this fruity and fresh Pinot Gris
- Mike Paterson is a NZ Pinot Gris legend... so when he told us he longed to try his hand at a German Pinot Gris, we bit his arm off (luckily he has two)
- He headed to the lesser-known Nahe region, home to some of the most aromatic and mouth-wateringly fruity Pinot Gris to come out of Germany and made this superb drop, especially for you.
- Because your Angelic support made Mike's dream project a reality - you get it for a snip.

Serving advice
Serve lightly chilled at 12-14°C
Food match
The young Pinot Grigio is favored with asparagus in each variation. It is often paired with chicken fricassee with rice, but also often with fish, porkÂ…or just solo, as Pinot Grigio has a well-balanced level of acidity.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Mike Paterson
- Mike used to be the Head Winemaker at one of New Zealand's finest, most prestigious Sauvignon Blanc wineries.
- He loved the job, but he also loved the idea of fulfilling his life-long dream of going it alone. Only problem was, the financial equation was "beyond scary" (as Mike put it!)
- We funded Mike to go it alone on one tiny, simple, lovely condition: he makes you some absolute stunners in the wine department. With your backing, he’s been able to make some of the most consistently high-rated Sauvignons in the whole of New Zealand. Kudos to you.
