Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Peter Gajewski made this refreshingly fruity Chardonnay as a 'Juicy' treat for white-wine-loving Angels
-
Not just a Shiraz superstar, when award-winning Aussie winemaker Peter ‘Juicy’ Gajewski came to us saying he wanted to make a delicious ‘Chardy’ for his white-wine-loving Angels, there was no way we could pass up on the offer.
-
Like his reds, Juicy’s Chardonnay comes from the Scott’s Creek vineyard he helped plant as a boy. After a 40-plus year relationship, you’d be hard pressed to find a winemaker more in tune with his grapes than he is. And for this wine, he harvested the fruit in 2 batches - the first with higher natural acidity (the structure that holds a wine together), and the second with more punchy fruit characters - which he blended together to create this perfectly balanced Chardonnay with mouthwatering flavour and complexity.
-
Crowd-pleasing Aussie Chardonnay like this was made to enjoy over long, lazy sunday lunches with a few good mates. It’s crisp and refreshing, with yummy flavours of tropical fruit and lemon, and a soft, round, peachy mouthfeel.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Peter 'Juicy' Gajewski
-
Juicy was born and raised in Shiraz heaven – Barossa Valley – where he planted vineyards as a kid that went on to be owned by one of Australia’s most iconic wineries. “Growing up in a grape growing and winemaking environment, wine was in my blood.” he says. Forty years and a host of international awards later, he has literally come back to his roots.
-
It turns out the vines he planted all those years ago were Juicy’s golden ticket to winemaking superstar status. His knowledge of the vineyards, combined with the natural flair he’d shown in his career so far, saw him made Chief Winemaker at the iconic Penfolds winery, where he made some of Australia’s most prized Shiraz… in the very vineyards he’d planted as a boy.
-
Safe to say, Juicy knows how to make a bangin’ wine and he’s chuffed to share his brilliant kit - that’s so close to his heart - with you. “I love seeing people enjoying the fruits of my labor, and it’s so important to me that the wines I create are in a style that the Angels enjoy. It is an honor to have the privilege of making wine for you.”

A very good value wine that always delivers.
Smooth and fruity. Not too dry and not an acidic chardonnay. Really enjoyed it. Juicy by name, Juicy by nature!
Whoopy do, an Australian Chardonnay I liked. Really enjoyed the wine, definately juicy and at an reasonable price, I will be buying again.
Not usually a lover of chardonnay, but this one very nearly got the thumbs up!
A nice midweek quaffer with a great QPR. I'm drinking this on its own. Clean on the nose and clear on the eye. Medium straw colour. Pineapple, lemon, apple, and peach notes. Medium on the nose. Medium acidity. Medium-bodied with a medium finish.
