Hermano’s luxurious Portugese blend in a bumper box tastes just like a posh Bordeaux combined with a plush, velvety Rioja, making for a deeply elegant, smoky, smooth-as-silk red. The flavours linger on and on, and so will the 2.25L box

After sampling the wine from over 300 of his best barrels, Hermano chose the top 10 to create his super-premium 10 Barricas exclusively for the Angels.

A dark ruby colour, it’s luxuriously rich and smooth. It has intensely dark, red berry flavours, with spices and oak from ageing in American, French and Portuguese barriques, and a lovely complex structure.

Serving advice
1- Lay the box flat and with the perforated opening ( circle) facing upwards
2 - Break and lift up the perforated flap and remove circular partition
3 - Gently pull the tap through the opening and position it in the perforated hole. Secure in position with the flap
4 - To pour, stand up the box and activate the flap. Pour directly in the glass or in a Decanter/ Carafe.
Wine will stay fresh 6 weeks after opening.

Meet the winemaker - Hermano Veloso
- Hermano was discovered by your Archangels at the London International Wine Fair 2011 and his wines have taken pride of place on Angel wine racks ever since (those Archangels know a good thing when they taste it).
- Having been born and raised in the Portuguese wine industry, there is nothing this man doesn't know about how to get the best from the local grapes! In fact, his family have been working in Lisbon's wine and agriculture for generations, a tradition that Hermano was keen to continue... his first harvest was when he was only six years old!
- With his passion for Portuguese wines & drive to make top quality wines whilst keeping them great value for money, we couldn't wait to add him to the list of Naked winemakers

I bought this one because my favourite boxed red wine was out of stock (as usual) and i have had good red Galodoro wines in bottles before. We find having a box is so convenient because one person can choose to have one glass without worrying about opening a bottle. I found this wine pleasant enough but it did get a bit of a sharp edge after a couple of weeks so although i would try a bottle again i would not buy another box. It’s a pity because Naked have a very small selection of boxed wines and they are usually out of stock so this narrows the options almost to none.

One of my favourite red wines… dark, fruity, yummy!
Wonderful to have this in a box. Lovely wine, but when I just feel like a glass and my husband doesn't, I can have one without worrying about whether the rest of the bottle needs drinking or whether I can justify opening a bottle just for me!
I hoped i was going to love this wine as it is a lot to consume if you don’t. This is my first boxed wine and it is a very acceptable and drinkable and look forward to a few more glasses over the next few weeks

Good rating because we love this wine - NORMALLY, we saved this box for our Caravan tour this August. Sadly when opened the wine was cloudy and slightly brown in colour. This is the 2nd time a box has done this (Apassimento previously refunded - thanks)

This was part of the Christmas hamper which I finally got around to trying 2 nights ago. There isn't any use by date and it's been stored away from heat etc. However, unfortunately, I think it must have spoiled as it has a musty smell, quite bitter and is very cloudy after pouring. I left it until tonight in case it was just sediment but the second glass is just as bad.
We shared this with friends on a summer evening and it was delicious
