About the wine
The light, vibrant South African red every foodie needs to know about
-
Cinsault has a long history in South Africa and has recently been growing in popularity due to its ability to handle the heat and produce remarkably pure and fruity wines.
-
Arco says, “This wine reminds me a lot about myself on many levels. You perhaps see a bold red wine in your glass - but just like me, it’s actually a real softy.” It’s light and vibrant with white pepper and blueberries on the nose, pomegranate and soft tannins on the palate.
-
Its elegant flavours make this Cinsault a food-pairing dream. It goes deliciously with all sorts of dishes, from tummy-warming winter stews or juicy oven-roast chicken… to light, flakey smoked salmon or herby lamb koftas. Foodie’s everywhere, rejoice!

Meet the winemaker - Arco Laarman
-
We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Arco Laarman. Introduced to Naked through our tight-knit South African winemaking community, he was a much-loved member of our winemaking family, and his exceptional talent will never be forgotten.
-
A true original, Arco's passion for wine began in his teens. At just 19, he moved to the Cape, working three vintages with a top-tier winery. Quickly rising through the ranks, he established his own winery in 2016, seeking out unique parcels of grapes. Chardonnay was a favorite, but he loved his Cinsault and Syrah too.
-
We are so grateful to have known Arco and share his passion for wine. Please join us in sending our love to his family and friends, and in raising a glass to a wonderful man. He leaves behind an incredible legacy.
