About the wine
A lush and abundant Riesling from Luxembourg's exclusive Moselle region
- Stefan, the winemaker at the helm of Domaine Henri Ruppert, is the ninth generation of his family to make wine in Schengen, a small wine making village in Luxembourg’s Moselle region.
- The region has the dream climate for Riesling growers, with warm days and cool nights, giving their wines a fantastically strong, bright aroma and a huge variety of flavour between vineyards and vintages
- A gorgeous pale yellow in colour with a lush and abundant bouquet filled with white fruit and floral notes. After airing the wine, flavours of Mirabelle plums, lime zest and white flowers come to the forefront of this bright and utterly refreshing Riesling.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Stephan Weber
-
When you think of the great European wine countries, Luxembourg isn’t normally the first name that springs to mind. But with a winemaking history that dates back to Roman times and 26 miles of hillside vineyards on the banks of the Moselle river, across from Germany’s most famous wine region, Luxembourg is capable of producing truly world-class wines.
-
Just like the German side of the Mosel, the king of Luxembourg wines is Riesling. It’s a grape that runs in the blood of winemaker Stephan Weber, who grew up in one of the most iconic Riesling towns in Germany, Wiltingen an der Saar.
-
Before becoming a winemaker, Stephan actually studied to become a civil engineer, but the call to his roots was too strong to resist. After honing his craft at renowned wineries in Germany and Austria, he settled down in Luxembourg and now devotes himself to making fine, age-worthy Rieslings. His dream is to one day make a wine that will age so gracefully, it could still be enjoyed by his great-grandchildren in the future.

Took this to a friend's house, and we both decided it was one of the nicest wines we'd ever drunk! More soon please!
Light with citrus & a hint of earthiness. A lovely fresh Riesling & our first wine from Luxembourg!
I was planning to have Rose today, but the one I have is 14%. I wanted something less boozy, so I chose this delightful 12.5% Riesling.
It's a nice Sunday evening quaffer. It has a lighter intensity on the nose. At least medium on the palate. There's a nice level of acidity. Medium(-) body with a medium finish. Notes of lemon, pear, apricot, apple, and tropical fruits.
I didn't try it but my wife loved it!
This was my fave - is it going to make a comeback?
Let's try this again for the millionth time. Hyperlink issues that are making me less hyper 🤣
White heavy order as I have a fair few reds at home still. Fingers crossed this goes well.

Quite an enjoyable wine, full of flavour.
Really lovely wine, fruity, not too acidic. I really enjoyed it and would definitely buy it again!
