Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
This superb Marsannay Rosé is a bona fide Burgundy rarity
-
You’ve heard of white Burgundy and red Burgundy… but have you heard of pink Burgundy? Philippe and Virginie Bernard’s delicious Marsannay Rosé is one of our most special finds.
-
Marsannay is unique among all of Burgundy’s appellations in producing Village quality rosé - which basically means it’s a level up on other Burgundy rosés from all over the region.
-
Carefully crafted using a portion of the Bernards’ prized Pinot Noir grapes, this top-notch rosé is a little richer than your pale pink southern French kit. But with its pure, vibrant notes of strawberries, refreshing minerality and quality mouthfeel, it’s no less perfect for sipping in the sunshine with a leafy green salad and a smile on your face.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Virginie and Philippe Bernard
- Virginie and Philippe are a father-daughter duo with winemaking in the blood, it's kind of just what the Bernards do... and you bet they do it well. In 1918 the family bought a small plot of land near Dijon, and now 4 generations down the line, what was once a small family vineyard stretches over 19 hectares.
- Philippe, one of 8, and Virginie, one of 4, both spent their childhoods surrounded by the vines and picking odd jobs in the cellar - it's simply a matter of tradition. But there was no teenage rebellion to be found here - whilst both father and daughter moved away from the family vineyard, Philippe to pursue Oenology and Virginie to work in food, neither could resist returning to the winery and continuing its legacy.
- It turns out the pair make one hell of a team who are utterly dedicated to every last inch of the process, from the vine to bottle. They exclusively use traditional methods of winemaking that they have been honing in the Domaine du Clos Saint-Louis for going on five generations. This is small scale winemaking at it's best.
