About the wine
Dom's Gewurtz is back!

Although I’ve been making Gewurz for over 12 years now, this is the first one I’ve made for Angels to enjoy!

I selected two parcels - one light and breezy, the other more richly aromatic. Blended together they create a Gewurz that’s full on the nose with, lychee, ginger spice and stonefruit aromas.
- This is a wine that’s able to stand up to food but also delicious as an aperitif. It’s a great allrounder (like Ben Stokes!). If you like texture in your white wines without oak then this could be for you. Just remember, although this is relatively rich, it’s a ‘drink young’ style of Gewurz!

Serve chilled at 8-12°C - not too cold and allow the wine to breathe in the glass for a few minutes before drinking.

Meet the winemaker - Dom Maxwell
- Dom is one of the best winemakers in New Zealand. He was voted New Zealand Winemaker of the Year in 2018 and 2011, he also won the prestigious Decanter International Trophy for Pinot Noir in 2014.
- We had a nod from Rod Easthope that Dom wanted to break free, become an independent winemaker and create a brighter future for his family. Frankly it was a chance we couldn't pass up.
- Dom has made wine for some exceptional Kiwi wineries, including Muddy Water and Greystone. Now he's able to put his own name on the label to make wines for himself and for you.

I must say this has surprised me a bit on that first sip the sweetness of it took me back but then the finish there was what I can only describe as as a almost citrus smokey taste that I just can't place but it is lovely. I haven't quite figured out if it's best with a meal or just hanging out with friends at a lovely sunset happy hour well done.

No idea what this is meant to be. Had an almost mouldy after taste or as we would say in Scotland Foosty. NOT FOR ME im afraid and for £12.99 would expect it to be better!

My first ever Gewurztraminer (how the hell you pronounce that?). Decent pour, fairly weak nose - pineapple, lemon and fresh peach. Full and robust body, long and lingering length, chewy and smooth mouth-feel. Dry with peach, pineapple, lemon, lime vanilla
