About the wine
Stateside Zinfandel that's guaranteed to impress
-
Duckhorn Vineyards was established in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn. They originally focused their attention on Bordeaux varieties but have since turned their hands to grapes such as Zinfandel and boy are we glad they did!
- Silky smooth, gloriously fruity and wonderfully balanced; if ever there was a wine to write home about, it's this one. Don’t let the price tag put you off, we promise it’s worth every penny.

We’ve had the chance to cherry-pick the best of Majestic wines to plug gaps in our range. This wine wasn’t funded by Angels, so doesn’t carry an Angel saving. But thanks to Majestic’s buying power, you still get it at a snip!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Tyson Wolf
Tyson grew up in Napa Valley, just two miles from Duckhorn Vineyards, in fact his father was a high school professor who taught Duckhorn Wine Company President, Alex Ryan - small world!
Tyson learnt to make wine at an early age thanks to his father who was an avid home winemaker, but he didn’t fall under its spell until several years years later, whilst studying for a degree in biology.
He started his career at William Hill (no, not the bookmaker but rather a picturesque vineyard in California!) and has since progressed through the ranks at various wineries, joining Duckhorn as Head Winemaker in 2016. An exceptionally skilled blender, expert in multiple grape varieties, cool as a cucumber under pressure and all round good guy - Duckhorn sure is lucky to have him!
