About the wine
Top-shelf Sauvignon Blanc from the sought-after Russian River Valley
-
If you’ve never tasted a USA Sauvignon before, you’re in for a treat. Ondine’s top-shelf drop strikes the perfect balance between the pure, heady tropical fruit of a Kiwi Savvy and the fresh clean citrus zing of a posh French SB.
-
Ondine spent 18 years mastering Sauvignon when she worked for the flagship Geyser Peak winery, spending a good chunk of that time working alongside Daryl Groom (who lent a hand with this project and shares the billing on the wine label).
-
Ondine says: “This Sauvignon Blanc is a divine companion to fresh oysters sourced from cool waters, and it’s a great wine to sip with friends to get the evening's festivities going. Perhaps most importantly it’s a little taste of springtime to kiss winter goodbye.”

Meet the winemaker - Ondine Chattan
-
One of the top winemaking talents in Sonoma, Ondine Chattan worked for famous US wineries, including Ridge Vineyards and Cline Cellars. She also spent decades overseeing the iconic Geyser Peak winery.
-
Geyser Peak was the long-time winemaking home of Naked legend Daryl Groom – and it’s where Ondine and him met. That was a decade ago, and they’ve been great mates ever since.
-
Ondine is awestruck by the wine community Angels have built – and she wants to help it grow. “I truly connect to people through the wines I make,” she said. “The stories of the growers, the vineyards, and the process behind the wine are as vital to me as grapes.”
