Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Crisp, classy Clairette made 'au naturel'
-
This stunning new white from Benjamin Mei, down in the Luberon region of Southern France, showcases the unsung grape variety of Clairette. And what a showcase it is.
-
Since building his new sustainable winery Benjamin has been able to experiment with smaller, premium parcels of grapes. His La Petite Gavède is 95% Clairette, farmed organically and biodynamically.
-
It’s a classy white with lovely honied fruit flavours and a fresh, mineral finish. We get notes of apples, lemons and pears with a floral and nutty complexity. Benjamin says it’s best enjoyed chilled with a seafood stew or grilled swordfish à la Provençale – so who are we to argue!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Benjamin Meï
- Benjamin's been making wine for 20 years, and he's seen it all. It seems that wherever he lays his hat, whether that be in the wineries of the old world or new world, exceptionally high quality wines are guaranteed to follow. In other words, he's the kind of friend you want to have around...
- Despite achieving great success across the globe, Benjamin decided to take the ultimate risk in 2015, choosing to leave it all behind and return to his roots in France.
- Back in his natural habitat, Benjamin has continued to produce truly stellar wines. Despite working with a huge variety of different grapes across many different regions, you can spot his wines a mile off for their next level freshness and minerality.
