We’ve made $5 million available to help struggling wineries to survive and come out the other side of this Covid crisis. The closure of bars and restaurants across the globe has been a disaster for the independent winemakers who supply them. The little guys, without connections to the big supermarkets, are the ones who are suffering the most.

Following the extended restaurant closures during lockdown, the wine importers who supply UK restaurants are sitting on a mountain of unsold wine they’d already paid for. These guys are a massive part of the wine industry ecosystem. If they go out of business, a butterfly effect ripples all the way back to the winemakers, who are ultimately on the hook.

Meet the winemaker - Covid Support Fund
Among the (many) groups of people affected by your favourite restaurant or bar being closed are the small independent winemakers who supply them, and whose wine no longer has a home. It’s especially the small guys that have little-to-no hope of selling their wine any time soon...
With their markets in lockdown, orders have dried up completely. And with little government help available in lots of countries, many are in real danger of going bust.
We’re pledging to help the best of the independent winemakers who’ve been affected by this crisis. We’ve received over 200 applications so far. Some of the stories would be enough to bring you to tears. They have wine sitting in their winery, and this is their silver lining.
