Back in February, out of the blue, I got a phone call from a multi Trophy-winning winemaker who has built a truly formidable reputation in the Australian wine industry.
The winemaker who called me was Natasha ‘Tash’ Mooney – and she was looking to get on board.
Possessing silky skills, a visionary eye and a laser-like determination she has been making ground-breaking wines since 1992 - wines that are quite simply… outstanding!
Tash, as she’s known to friends, family, workmates and as of today, Angels, is helping to shape the current and future direction of Australian wine.
With a rock solid apprenticeship mentored by the likes of legends Philip Shaw, ex-Rosemount, and Wayne Falkenberg of iconic Lindemans it’s no surprise that Tash has developed an unerring ability to tap into the styles that wine drinkers are craving.

Tash’s travels over the years have seen her racking up vast winemaking experience: from the Hunter Valley, Mildura, Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley in Australia, to Oregon, Chile and South Africa internationally.
And along the way she’s accumulated a trophy cabinet bursting with awards – among them, being included in the Wine Spectator Top 10 Wines of the Year in the U.S. with a wine from her time at Barossa Valley Estate between 1996 and 2002. Woohoo!
Since 2007, Tash has been a powerhouse winemaking consultant based in S.A. helping boutique producers like The Lane, Sidewood Estate and Mount Adam achieve acclaim and success.
And now, after ‘that’ phone call in February, Tash is thrilled to bits to be supported by you and thousands of other Angels.
