- Approached by an eccentric old lawyer with a passion for wine, these four old uni mates combined forces to put their winemaking skills to the test
- Based in the Cachapaol Valley Chile, Meinard, Cristobal, Estibalitz and Daniela hold regular blind tastings to make sure their wines are up to scratch
- Discovered by 30 of our Archangel customers at the London Wine Fair 2010, they work with each vintage to produce stunning parcels of wines

Daniela and team Lagar's Story
"You normally hear of just the one winemaker, but we come as a four! We met at Uni several years ago, and got to know each other through a love of wine.
We were approached by a local lawyer who had a retirement dream of setting up his own vineyard.
He bought some land, but had no idea what to do with it - which is where we stepped in.
After cutting down an old apple orchard, and planting his own vines, he briefed us to make 'millions' of litres of wine. He clearly didn't know a thing about producing a wine! But this was a great opportunity for us to take over and show him the ropes.
From year to year, no wine is the same. We produce whatever blend the fruit tells us to... the best way to make a wine.
From time to time we have different ideas of what we should do with the wines, which is why we hold regular blind tastings - the fairest way to decide on the direction of our wines.
We were delighted to meet your Archangels at the London Wine Fair, and even more delighted that they chose our wine out of over 70. We hope you enjoy it as much as them, and please tell us what you think."
