We think that all Tom Wood's beers produced at Melton High Wood are excellent and well worth drinking but when we first brewed Lincoln Gold in 2011 we had no idea it would become so popular. Lincoln Gold is a pale bitter which combines lager and traditional ale malts with English grown Cascade and Pilgrim (hop types). This results in a beer with a fruity aroma which is slightly zesty in flavour but still manages to retain some of the malt characteristics. As one of our pleased customers calls it “Liquid Gold”!
