Best Bitter is a superbly balanced bitter with a prominent hop character. It is our most famous and popular beer - it makes up over 90% of our total brewing capacity. Tailored to the taste buds of the people of Sussex over many decades this popular beer is brewed with the finest Maris Otter malted barley and a small percentage of roasted ‘Crystal' malt. A blend of four different hops from local growers impart a distinctive character and a moreish quality. Winner of the Champion Best Bitter of Britain title at CAMRA's Great British Beers Festival in 2005 and 2006.
