About the wine
Luxuriously light and fruity Spatburgunder of this calibre is highly-prized within Germany
-
Spätburgunder is the crown jewel of German reds, with a history dating back all the way to the 9th century. Once you taste this luxuriously light and fruity number from Friedrich Keller, you’ll understand why it’s stood the test of time.
-
Also known as Pinot Noir pretty much everywhere else in the world, Spätburgunder is a famously pernickety grape to work with but one with huge potential for high-quality, complex wines when grown in cool-climate conditions, meaning it’s right at home in Friedrich’s south-German vineyards.
-
The complex aromas and flavours make this Baden Spätburgunder a delight to drink, with cherries, redcurrants and raspberries to the fore, and truffly, mushroomy characters coming through in the lingering finish.

Meet the winemaker - Naked Marketplace
Every week, on our travels or back at HQ, we come across wines that taste amazing but weren’t made for us by Naked winemakers
At the price and quality, we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t make them available to you. So we list them without a winemaker or a story under Naked Marketplace
They’re generally parcels and one-offs, so once they’re gone, they’re gone!
