DRG Daryl Groom River Road Ranch Russian River Pinot Noir 2021
Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Daryl was desperate to craft this world-class pinot noir exclusively for you
- The making of this wine was the realisation of a dream for Daryl, who’s been chomping at the bit for a chance to make you a world-class pinot noir from one of Sonoma County’s top vineyards.
- This picturesque vineyard sits in the rolling hills at the heart of the Russian River Valley. The appellation is the most recognized and prized area in the United States for growing high quality cool climate chardonnay and pinot noir.
- Utterly alluring to drink, Daryl’s classy pinot is soft and round, subtly teasing your taste buds. It has a classic meaty, smokey, salami type funkiness that balances really perfectly with a bright red fruit aroma, vanilla and spice.

Serving advice
On warm or hot days I like to give the wine a slight
chill to around 15°.
Food match
My favourite pairing with pinot noir is pork,
specifically a simply brined and grilled pork chop
or a local carnitas taco from the many Mexican
restaurants nearby.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Daryl Groom
- Meet Daryl.... He has been a winemaker for 35 years, with some of his wines even served at the Oscars and Emmys two years in a row!
- Working as the senior white and red winemaker at Penfolds, his 1986 Penfolds Grange was arguably one of the top 3 Granges ever made - 98 points from Wine Spectator and Robert Parker!
- Daryl LOVES making (and drinking) Shiraz... It's silky, intense and simply delicious he says and the greatest value of all red wines.
