About the wine
Beautifully round, fruity and easy drinking Minervois.
- After 5 years of hard work, the Covid crisis posed a huge threat to the development of David's winery at a key point in it's development. With the bars and restaurants he once provided for closing, it has been increasingly hard to keep things afloat.
- With your help we’ve made $5 million available to help struggling wineries survive and come out the other side of this Covid crisis, David being one of them. In return he has served us up a beautifully round, fruity and easy drinking Minervois.
- This is a real gift for fans of a big red - inky red with cherries and raspberries that play on the palate alongside flavours of spice and cracked black pepper. Not one to miss!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - David Ciry
- David Ciry put pedal to the metal in 2015 when he found a very special vineyard made up of 5 plots of rare and wide ranging old vines. The breathtaking 400 metre altitude of the land combined with the exceptional quality and diversity of these Languedoc vines, made it clear that David was onto a winner.
- Each plot brings something different to the party, but they all work towards David's ultimate goal of making fresh, 'fruit forward' wines. He strikes the golden balance between powerful flavours and maintaining that all important complexity... and to top it all off, he makes it look like a piece of cake!
- The Covid crisis hit at a crucial moment in the development of the winery - after 5 years of back breaking hard work and investment, everything was thrown into uncertainty. We were tipped off to the amazing quality in danger of going down the drain and knew we couldn't let that happen. We can't wait to see what David has in store with a little help from his new found Angles!
