It’s a perfect medley of pure, ripe fruit and earthy, oak-aged complexity. Take a deep sniff and you’ll get mouth-watering aromas of raspberries, strawberries and blackberries, tinged with a crisp minerality and complex hints of cedar wood and tobacco. The palate is well balanced with great intensity and a silky-smooth black cherry and blueberry finish that caresses the senses.
It’s so good, this wine was even awarded Cru Bourgeois status - a special honour awarded only to super-delicious Médoc wines that aren’t from the old, big-name chateaus, as a stamp of top quality. Basically making this wine an official hidden gem.

Our first ever Gavi de Gavi, first vintage landed back in 2016 and it's been going strong since then! We wanted to show off the very best of our region, Central Piedmont, the home to such a special wine, that you can only find here, and nowhere else.
Known as the ‘Chablis of Italy’, Gavi de Gavi is made from the Cortese grape. It’s fresh, crisp, vibrant, super dry with subtle notes of peach, pear and citrus, and a steely minerality on the finish.
Making wine is our job, but also our greatest passion. Thanks to Angel funding, we’re able to combine our day job as wine consultants, with handcrafting wines like this on our family vineyard. Grazie for believing in us!

Sandra is a self-confessed wine geek, with a passion for both the science and the magic of winemaking.
We took the 2019 vintage of Sandra's Treixadura when we reached out to winemakers in our Covid Support fund, 92% of Angels gave it a thumbs up and said they'd buy it again, so it's back again for another vintage.
Treixadura is one of Spain's hidden treasures. Normally it’s blended with other grapes to add a vibrant citrusy zing, but Sandra makes it shine on its own. A full-bodied white with luscious flavours of ripe peach and refreshing citrus.

You won’t find a winemaker more experienced, or frankly more passionate about his wines than Stephen. So when he said he wanted to make a classy Reserve Chardonnay, we knew it would be a bit special.
Thanks to Angel funding, Stephen was able to hand-harvest the grapes and age them in the finest French oak casks, giving his Reserve Chard the elegance of a white Burgundy, with a dollop of South African sunshine for extra flavour.
His full-bodied Chardonnay is chock full of zesty lemons, limes and grapefruit all wrapped up in a velvety coat of toasty, vanilla spices. It’s refined, it’s lavish, it’s sumptuous... perfect for a night on the sofa with a good movie and a cuddle.

Hamish Maguire is a Naked superstar down under, but the Aussies love his wines so much they tend to keep it all to themselves, meaning very few have reached UK shores. Thankfully, we got a tip off that this one was a complete worldie, and we just had to get our hands on it.
McLaren Vale is already known for producing fine, indulgent reds that are a real step up from your typical Aussie bruiser. But the 2018 vintage was extra-special, with low yields of incredibly high quality grapes. So Hamish decided he’d kick things up a notch by making a barrel-fermented Shiraz in swanky American oak.
This is pure premium Shiraz. Stylish and elegant with that signature Shiraz power, and delicious notes of lush cherries, blackberries and luxurious spice. All the classic Aussie characteristics are there - power, spice, length, texture - but it isn’t a big, bold, in-your-face number, it’s more elegant… and extremely drinkable.

They have exclusive access to some protected, old chenin vines - they produce exceptional fruit but in very small quantities. This means that it’s a struggle to keep these vines in the ground, with fat cats desperate to snap up the land and few winemakers willing to take on the challenge. But thanks to your support Kobie and Faisal have been able to keep these Chenin vines out of harm's way and make a fabulous wine just for Angels with the fruit.
Bright, clear and brilliant. This Chenin kicks off the party with generous stone fruit flavours - think cinnamon dusted yellow peach slices. It develops beautifully in the glass with hints of salted caramel and quince. Well-balanced and creamy, with a light, lingering freshness to finish.

If there’s one thing everyone knows about your man Sam, it’s that he doesn’t do anything by halves. In 2018 he produced a plush Ripassare of such spectacular quality that it had Angels on their feet (I have a feeling you might remember it), and you'd better believe it was no accident.
It’s a highly skilled piece of work you see, where the juice is given a good soak on the skins of the fruit in order to deepen the colour and puts rocket-boosters on the flavour. Re-passing the wine over this skins means it picks up way more bold and intense flavours and you get a richer, bigger, powerful wine.
Deep red in the glass and full of plush plums, spicy currants and velvety tannins. It's dangerously easy to drink and, as Sam suggests, there's no better way to enjoy it than with a few good mates gathered round a barbie...
