Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
This Blaufrankisch is frankly, wow
- Elegant like Pinot Noir with the spiciness of Syrah, Austria's native Blaufrankisch is perfect for those who like their red wine bright, ripe and lip-smackingly fresh. Predominant wine magazine Falstaff gave this stunning wine 91 points before commending it for its "juicy elegance."
- The flavours in Blaufraenkisch can vary depending on where the grapes are grown. This gem is super concentrated with uplifting, fresh fruit flavours thanks to its grapes flourishing on 70-year-old vines, anchored in rich, warm nourishing soils.
- Bundles of fresh redcurrant, luscious cherry, and a streak of spicy oak with a hint of delicious chocolate, thanks to some time in posh French oak barrels, make this wine ridiculously gluggable.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Bernhard Ernst
- Bernhard's winemaking dream began as a small business run out of his garage. Through passion and grit, he soon settled into a winery in Eastern-Austria, turning it into a sustainably certified operation. Joined by his wife, Sylvia, they are now working towards full organic certification.
- Bernhard is most passionate about the juicy berry and lightly spicy flavoured Blaufränkisch grape variety. Grown in vineyards with dense clay soils, Blaufränkisch can be heavy and concentrated, but Bernhard has proved a dab hand at turning his favourite grape into delicate and elegant red wines.
- He says: "when you start from zero, you remember little instances from along the way. From selling my first bottle, experimenting with different blends to moving towards sustainability, the winemaking journey is filled with great memories".
