About the wine
Easy-drinking Merlot from a true artisan, small-scale Chilean winemaker
- Chile was made to grow Merlot - 300 days of sunshine a year, high altitude, and just the right amount of water all help to ripen the grapes to fat, juicy perfection.
- Juan is a one-man dynamo. With the help of his family and the local village he gets the job done. No consultants, no sales managers, no agents, which is why the price is so damn low.
- Generous and fruity, Juan's Merlot glows ruby red. Think blackberry compote with hints of soft pepper and coffee.

Meet the winemaker - Juan Ignacio Mena
- Juan is our favourite kind of winemaker. Big on grapes. Small on international wine marketing. A genuine artisan, one-man band, small-scale winemaker.
- Juan doesn't own a suit. Probably. He certainly doesn't have a sales manager. So when Juan's principal client went bust we stepped in and helped out. In exchange for preferential prices.
- Fresh, pure and delicious. Being a small producer, we don't have an endless supply of Juan's wine. So best get in while you can.
