About the wine
Mauricio has hit the nail on the head with his mouth-wateringly crisp and fruity Torrontes
- Torrontes is Argentina's naughty little secret. Few know about it, which makes it all the more delightful when you discover it.
- Take all the zingy freshness of a good Sauvignon, round the flavours out with a bit of apple and pear, ease off on the gooseberry and add a touch of cream. Bingo. That's the big T for you and this one is a particularly fine example.
- Mauricio's crisp, aromatic Torrontes is the perfect match for a Thai takeaway. He recommends sticky, spicy, crispy chilli beef or a fragrant, coconutty Thai green curry.

Serving advice
Serve chilled at 8-10°C
Food match
In my opnion, any spicy food matchs perfect with Torrontes: thai, indian, etc but in Argentina you can pair with empanadas salteñas, spicy and juicy!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Mauricio Lorca
- Many years ago Mauricio was all set to go to medical school and become a doctor. Then fate stepped in. A winemaking tutor came to give a talk, and he was hooked. It was a tricky conversation he had with his mum when he went home that night.
- Fast forward 20 years. After earning international acclaim making 96 Parker Point wines for some of Argentina’s world-famous brands, Mauricio’s talent is now in such demand he advises top Argentinian wineries, as well as making spectacular Argentine wines exclusively for Angels. He did Ma Lorca proud, after all.
- Thanks to Angel funding, Mauricio’s hand-crafted nectar is a million miles from supermarket roulette. He controls every step, from pruning to pressing, fermenting, bottling and storage. You can taste the pride and passion in every sip. And thanks to your investment his wines are getting better every year.
