About the wine
Glenn's award-winning Cab Sauv is the big daddy of his fine aged Aussie reds
-
Glenn Eberbach’s deluxe Cabernet Sauvignon shows the same kind of evolution in 5-10 years that you’d have to wait 20 years for in Bordeaux.
-
Meticulously made from prime fruit and lavished with French and American oak, this smooth and spicy Cab is the big daddy of Glenn’s single estate reds. And it’s been snoozing away in cellars for 8 years, developing a beautiful array of complex flavours.
-
Wafts of dark fruit tempt you in, then ripe cherries and blackcurrants fill your mouth, perfectly balanced with soft silky tannins and a gentle lick of spice. It might seem like sacrilege to pop the cork on a wine this age, but trust us, it’s a sacrifice worth making.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Glenn Eberbach
-
Glenn’s passion for wine was sparked at the tender age of 10, after he was put in charge of bottle-washing at his school’s annual wine fundraiser. All grown up, and having honed his craft at top-ranking Yarra Valley wineries - followed by stints in Italy, then King Valley and Rutherglen, Oz - he’s now got over 20 years’ experience under his belt, and since 2017 makes award-winning wines as chief winemaker at the sweeping Trifon Estate in Goulburn Valley, Victoria.
-
Goulburn Valley is a goldmine for premium Aussie wines and Glenn has access to some of the very best fruit at his Lagoon View vineyards. His grapes here benefit from nutrient-rich soils, pure spring water, and a cool (for Australia) climate, which allows him to produce elegant and complex wines that are full to the brim with fruit.
-
Glenn’s one of a number of Aussie winemakers who were hit hard by Chinese tariffs, leaving him with loads of premium nectar that might’ve gone to waste. Thankfully, our mates at Naked Australia came to the rescue, and now that he’s part of the Naked family, you get to enjoy his top-shelf wines too.
