Benjamin Darnault Roussillon Villages Magnum 2021
About the wine
Your fave Frenchman is treating you to a magnum of his lush and fruity, medal-winning red worth £27.98
- Ben’s treating you to a deluxe 1.5L bottle of his sumptuous Roussillon Villages. A go-to red for so many Angels, this silky-smooth nectar is the next level up from his best-selling Minervois… and now you keep it flowing for an extra glass (or three).
- A classically southern French blend of Syrah with a tasty dollop of Grenache, it’s chock-full of juicy, ripe berry fruit with enticing notes of plums, cherries, a hint of dark chocolate, and a naughty pinch of spicy clove and fresh rosemary.
- It’s heaven on the palate, with a creamy, silky texture and a breadth of flavour that wows with every sip. In fact it’s so delicious that of the 11 vintages Ben’s made, every single one has rated 92% or higher with Angels.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Benjamin Darnault
- When Ben left a safe winemaking job in Australia to move back to France with his young family in the noughties, at first he really struggled. The financial crash of 2007/08 clobbered the winery he was working at, so they had to let him go. He couldn’t catch a break.
- That was until Angels freed Ben from the corporate fat cats and transformed his livelihood. Thanks to Angels, Ben was finally able to set up on his own and realise his lifelong dream of putting his own name on the label. Even better, he had an advance on his next vintage!
- With Angel support, Ben has been able to invest more, source even better fruit and establish strong relationships with local growers to improve the quality of his delicious wines year-on-year. With thousands of rave reviews, he’s a bonafide Naked icon.
