About the wine
Philipes mouthwateringly vibrant Chenin was a punt that paid off
- Philipe took a massive gamble back in 2001, when he ripped up his Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc vines in favour of lesser known Chenin Blanc ones. The bold move paid off and nowadays he produces some of the top Chenin in the region.
- The fruit for Philipe’s Anjou Blanc En Terrasse is hand harvested from a high altitude, south-facing spot between the prestigious Loire valley and up-and-coming Layon valley.
- His Chenin is aromatic, smooth, and mouthwateringly fresh. With bags of structure and balance. Aromas of green apples and citrus fruits lure you in, and the minerality gives it a lovely refreshing bite.
