Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Take a fresh look at Bordeaux with Olivier's brand new Merlot, Cab Sav blend
- Olivier has always wanted to work with Cab Sav. Now, with Angel support at his back, he has been able to collaborate with a top-rate grower in Bordeaux to make the wine he had always dreamt of.
- Blending premium Merlot with Cab Sav grapes from Medoc, an appellation north of Bordeaux known for it's robust, round character, Olivier is in his element. Shaking up Bordeaux's traditional reputation in exchange for more exciting, stylish wines.
- This is a fabulously elegant Merlot blend complete with complex blackcurrant and liquorice flavours, and a gentle touch of oak. Very subtle and fresh with a good long finish, this is a brand new look at Bordeaux that you'll need to try.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Olivier Cazenave
- Olivier Cazenave is a rare breed... the most radical wine grower you'll find in the historically posh and stuffy Bordeaux region.
- He developed a taste for wine aged 17, but Olivier didn’t realise he could turn his passion into a career until he was 40. He started making wine in 2003, in the middle of a downturn in the region “you would have to be crazy to buy a property in Bordeaux in 2003”.
- Olivier may hail from an ultra-famous wine region, but you probably haven’t heard of him... and that’s a good thing. He’s one of the region’s best kept secrets and he wants to prove that you can find outstanding value in Bordeaux.
