About the wine
In homage to you for his liberation, Jean Marc has made his rich and powerful Corbieres
- Jean-Marc left his local Cooperative to start making his own wine from his own vineyards. His family had been in the Cooperative since it started in 1913 (in fact, Jean-Marc's grandpa planted the vineyards) so his Monsieur Jones wines marked the beginning of a very special adventure.
- The vineyards are in the small village of Tuchan on the Languedoc Roussillon border, surrounded by the natural countryside of wild herbs. The vines produce really low yields, creating a superbly concentrated style of wine. Thanks to your support, Jean-Marc was able to focus on crafting a top quality wine without the worry of knowing where he would sell it.
- This Corbières is made from Carignan, Grenache and Syrah from vineyards that Jean-Marc worked since he was just 16. Some of the vineyards were even planted by the man himself too! This is a big, full bodied, intense Corbières. It is a dry wine with spice and red fruits. There is no oak ageing, so it is packed with lovely red fruits with a touch of spice and herby flavours.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Katie Jones
- Katie’s love of wine led her all the way from Leicestershire to the Languedoc where she bought an idyllic vineyard perched half-way up a hill in Tuchan. In 2013 she experienced every winemaker’s worst nightmare when vandals emptied her entire year’s vintage down the drain.
- She turned to us. And 2,500 Angels helped to get her back on her feet - clubbing together to raise over £200k in just 48 hours. Our Queen of the Languedoc was able to start again and has gone on to make some seriously delicious wines, with sparkly awards a plenty.
- Thanks to her beloved Angels, Katie has been able to nab more hilltop vineyards, expand her range and even move her winemaking operation into an old railway station to fit in more barrels. It’s a long way from the 600 cases of wine she made in her garage in 2009!
