To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
Super-special Grand Reserve from Marcelo's very best barrels
-
A pioneer of blending Malbec with other grapes to show off Argentina’s full potential, every year Marcelo Bocardo makes a Grand Reserve out of his most outstanding selection from 300 barrels.
-
The 2021 is a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from his vineyards in historic Maipu. Aged 18 months in French oak, the result is an elegant and juicy red with notes of spice, vanilla and walnuts from the oak.
-
Like all great Argentinian reds, it’s a match made in heaven with a juicy steak. The acidity cuts through the fat perfectly. And even better if it’s chargrilled on the BBQ with a medley of fresh vegetables, as the spiciness of the Cabernet Sauvignon complements the natural sweetness of the veg beautifully.
Best before
Drink straight away or hold on to 2033 or beyond.
Serving advice
Decant and serve at 19°C.
Food match
A medium rare ribeye with grilled vegetables. The balanced acidity of this wine makes it a perfect match to steaks, as it washes the fat from your palate. Also since the presence of Cabernet Sauvignon is very noticeable, I would recommend some grilled vegetables as this variety has some spiciness to it.
Contains sulphites
