Maison Sichel Saint Julien 2019
Market Price
To show you the value you're getting as an Angel...
We regularly benchmark a selection of our wines against up to three comparable wines on the market. The Market Price is based on the price of those wines.
What do we mean by benchmark? We taste them blind against our own wines, or we use our market knowledge (over 40 years between us) to set an industry standard Market Price.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Market Price, or it's not your cup of tea, we'll add a credit to your account. For more info, see our FAQS.

About the wine
This utterly scrumptious St Julien is the very picture of elegance and luxuriousness
Ranked among the finest winemaking regions in Bordeaux, the best wines of St Julien are famed for their elegance and harmony - and this classy, garnet-hued nectar from Maison Sichel is a picture-perfect example.
An utterly scrumptious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged for 12 months in quality French oak barrels, on first encounter it has a fine, delicate nose with subtle hints of ripe blackberries and luxurious leathery characteristics. On the palate, it’s well-structured with silky, creamy tannins - typical of that St Julien elegance - and lots more rich, ripe blackberries.
A rich, velvety Bordeaux like this is pretty much a match made in heaven for a mouthwatering sunday dinner. Get yourself a nice leg of lamb, roasted with a nice rosemary and garlic rub, then pour the whole family a glass of this and let the compliments roll in.

Meet the winemaker - Naked Marketplace
Every week, on our travels or back at HQ, we come across wines that taste amazing but weren’t made for us by Naked winemakers
At the price and quality, we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t make them available to you. So we list them without a winemaker or a story under Naked Marketplace
They’re generally parcels and one-offs, so once they’re gone, they’re gone!
