About the wine
Stephen's modern Shiraz is elegant and classy

American winemaker Stephen makes some of the New World's most sought after wines. Very unlike the over-done fruit bombs you've come to expect, this modern Shiraz is mega classy.

When we asked Stephen to make us a little side project, he jumped at the chance. He still gets to be his own boss and thanks to Angel funding you get his top-shelf talent at middle-shelf prices.

Ruby red in the glass, this delightful wine is full of mellow dark fruit, spicy black pepper and a smooth taste of smoky oaky warmth
Best before
This FSM Shiraz will reward some cellaring, so I recommend that you buy a few bottles and open them over some time. We had a bottle of my 2016 Shiraz the other night and it was awesome.
Serving advice
This range has been topped with a screwcap that we may be switching to cork. When that happens the wine should become more approachable as soon as it's opened. We'll see.
Food match
Recently we had my Shiraz with grilled chicken and fresh delta asparagus. We grilled the chicken on one of those new sheets that allow grill marks and prevents burning. It's supposed to be healthier for you, I'll drink to that.

Meet the winemaker - Stephen Millier
- Stephen is no stranger to a gold medal or two... but usually his prestigious employers are the only ones in the limelight.
- When Stephen offered to set aside some of his favourite wines and vineyards to make a special range with his name on the label just for Angels, we jumped at the opportunity.
- If you like underdogs, Stephen's your man. He will find the overlooked and under-appreciated and he will take precious care to make sure they grow into big, beautiful wines that deserve more attention.
